This project examined how women and girls managed menstruation during the Cyclone Freddy emergency in Malawi. The key challenge was the limited integration of Menstrual Hygiene Management into emergency WASH response, despite its importance for health, dignity, and participation.

I conducted a mixed-methods study using surveys and interviews to document lived experiences and identify gaps in access to menstrual products, water, privacy, and disposal. The findings provided clear evidence to support stronger integration of Menstrual Hygiene Management in emergency preparedness and response.
